Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA, for Mary Gladys White, 77, who entered eternal rest, Friday, August 3, 2012 at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 10, 2012 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in New Orleans, LA. Rev. Jaison Mangalath, S.V.D. will officiate at the Mass of Christian burial.

Mrs. White is survived by her children, one son, Gregory White (Teritha); three daughters, Sandra White, Linda Foley (John, Sr.) and Laura Morris all of New Orleans, LA; a special niece, Sheila Gilford of Opelousas, LA; a nephew, Frank Castille of Opelousas, LA; a great nephew, Zerrick Gilford of Houston, TX; 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, other relatives and special friends.

Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred A. White; parents, Cleveland & Irma Golden Thomas; two brothers, Ernest and Gilbert Thomas and a sister, Lula Gilford.

Visiting hours will be observed from 9:00 A.M. to 10:15 A.M. Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA.
