Darryl V. Robertson Melville, Louisiana Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 11, 2012, at Emma Zion Baptist Church in Melville, LA., for Darryl V. Robertson, Sr., who entered eternal rest, Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas, LA.

Interment will be in Sweet Home Cemetery in Melville, LA. Rev. Carl Fontenot will officiate at the services.

Mourning his departure, yet cherishing his sweet memories, are his sons, Anthony Van Lewis of Brunswick, GA and Darryl Van Robertson Jr. of Laurel, MS; his father, Wilson Robertson of Melville, LA; siblings, Henry Dixon of Palmetto, LA, Kirk Robertson (Barbara) of Baker, LA, Kenneth Robertson, Debra Robertson both of Melville, LA, Sylvia Robertson, Terrence Robertson (Andrea), Ruby Doyle, Janice R. Johnson (Spencer) and Chanda Adams (Kenneth) all of Houston, TX; four aunts, Lou Bertha Sterling, Bertha Sterling both of Fordoche, LA, Thelma Sterling of Maringouin, LA and Virginia Hurks of Annapolis, MD; 6 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Mr. Robertson was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Robertson; four brothers, Alvin, Donald, Gary Robertson and Gordon Dixon; a special aunt, Rosa McKane; a great nephew, Roderick Brignac and a niece, Alicia Dixon. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Tri Community Nursing Home for taking care of our love one during his illness. Visiting hours will be observed from 12:00 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. Saturday, August 11, 2012, at Emma Zion Baptist Church, in Melville LA.
