The family of Mrs. Eula Mae Boyance Lastrapes recognizes the tremendous outpouring of love and support from family, friends and loved ones but are bound to adhere to guidance as dictated for respective providers for viewing and religious services consistent with Phase 2 of reopening during the continuing health emergency. For details see (Faith Gatherings): https://opensafely.la.gov/PublicLinks.aspx Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, June 19, 2020 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA, for Mrs. Eula Mae Boyance Lastrapes, 89, who entered eternal rest, Friday, June 12, 2020 at her residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park. Rev. Lambert Lein, SVD will officiate at the Mass of Christian burial. (Phase 2 Capacity as dictated by the church) Mrs. Lastrapes is survived by her husband, Philip Thomas Lastrapes of Opelousas, LA; three sons, Philbert Kirk Lastrapes (Joni) of New Orleans, LA, David Brian Lastrapes of Opelousas, LA and Byron Neil Lastrapes of Orlando, FL; a daughter, Lori Ann Lastrapes of Opelousas, LA; a sister-in-law, Gloria Taylor of Opelousas, LA; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of extended family members and friends. Mrs. Lastrapes was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Boyance, Sr. & Marie Louise Charles Boyance; five brothers, Dallas, Albert, Robert, Venice and Willie Boyance; two sisters, Edith B. Cormier and Martha B. Christian; In-laws, Bonafice & Louisa Lastrapes and a sister-in-law, Lou Ledoux. Visiting hours will be observed privately for designees by the family per state guidance for Phase 2 Re-Opening capacity from 7:00 AM to 9:45 AM Friday, June 19, 2020 at Williams Funeral Home.
