Mr. Kori Alexander Moore

OPELOUSAS-Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Williams Funeral Home for Mr. Kori A. Moore, 39, who entered eternal life on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Methodist Charlton Medical Center, Dallas, TX. Rev. Michael Grimes will officiate the Celebration of Life. “For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” –II Timothy 4:6-7 Kori Alexander Moore was born to the union of his late parents, Robert and Jewel Moore on February 7, 1978 in Sunnyville, California. Kori was baptized at an early age at the Pleasant Green Baptist Church in Alexandria, Louisiana by Pastor Michael Jackson. He continued is Christian experience at the Bethany Christian Center, North Branch, Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he remained a member until his death. He received his formal education in the East Baton Rouge School Board System. Receiving his high school diploma, 1997, from Glen Oaks Senior High School where he played in the band for the first two years and for his Junior he played on the football team. In 2006 he graduated from Baton Rouge School of Computers in Computer Programming. He was a long hauled truck driver for Schneider Trucking Company. He united in Holy matrimony to his high school sweetheart, Makala Taylor Moore on November 3, 2006 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Kori loved his video games and animes allot. Whenever you called him you could rest assure that the conversation would be on those topics. He is loved by all who knew him and made a lasting impression on those he met. He leaves to cherish his memories; loving wife, Makala Taylor Moore of Baton Rouge, LA; one daughter, Sailor Kayla Rochelle Taylor of the U.S. Navy, San Diego, CA; one aunt, Barbara Joubert (Dennis) of Alexandria, LA; one uncle, Oliver Lee Alexander of Baton Rouge, LA; four cousins, Lakeisha Alexander, Shirlaker Alexander, Alexis Alexander Washington (Nicholas), and Vanisha Alexander Turner, all of Baton Rouge, LA; a host of other relatives and friends. Kori is preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents, Maime B. and Jesse L. Alexander, Sr., Uncle Jesse L. Alexander, Jr. and two aunts, Linda Alexander and Beatrice Alexander.
