Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 621 Narrow Street, Opelousas, LA 70570, Rev. Chad Ned, Pastor, for Sheila Marie LeBlanc Dixon, 62, who entered eternal rest on Friday, January 19, 2024, at her residence with her husband, family and loved ones at her side. Rev. Henry L. Comeaux will officiate the Celebration of Life. Sheila leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her legacy, her loving husband Lawrence "Chuck" Dixon, Jr., children: Chrystal Lemelle (Steven), Danielle Papillion (Keith), Suzanne Mecredy (Patrick); grandchildren: Kenzelle Lemelle, Kaylee Papillion, Ace Mecredy, Houston Mecredy and Candace Lee; great grandchildren: Chanse Lemelle, Kaison Lemelle; sisters, Eula Thibodeaux (Michael) and Judy Miller; aunt, Marie Guillory; godchildren: Toni Thibodeaux and Kennon LeBlanc (Mike); sisters-in-law, Joyce Little (Larry) and Carolyn LeBlanc and Bertha LeBlanc; brothers-in-law: Brian Dixon (Wanda), Roland Dixon (Ernestine, Gregory Dixon, (Kimberly); special niece and nephew Kayla Daugherty and Collins Miller and a host of other relatives and special friends. Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Josene and Eula Guillory LeBlanc; brothers: Billy and Collins LeBlanc; nephew, Collins LeBlanc, Jr., mother and father-in-law, Lawrence and Catherine Dixon, Sr.; sister-in-law, JoAnne Dixon; maternal and fraternal grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles. The family requests visiting hours be observed on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 8:30 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. at Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in Opelousas.
