Cinderella Marie Mallet PORT BARRE- Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Global House of Praise Christian Refuge Center in Port Barre, LA for Cinderella Mallet, 58, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at her residence in Port Barre. Interment will be held in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Port Barre. Pastor Bobby Gradney officiating. The earthly chapters of Cinderella affectionately known as “Marie” was filled with an abundance of everlasting, loving memories. Being the oldest daughter in her family “Marie” was a nurturer and a mother to all. Her home was where everyone gathered and could find comfort. Marie loved to cook and dance and could always be found listening or requesting her favorite songs on the radio station. She loved people and always ended an encounter with her favorite saying “Okay my baby”. On Thursday, June 12, 2014, surrounded by family, God closed the chapter of Cinderella’s earthly life and opened up the door of heaven for her to dance into eternal rest. Cinderella will be missed by her husband, Hebert Mallet, Sr., sons, Stanley (Alenicia) Levier , Hebert (Danny) Mallet, Jr., Roger Lee Mallet, and Quinton James Mallet; daughters, Tiffany Marie (Phillip) Thomas, Casey Ann (Percy) Jones, and Mary Lorena Sonnier; a brother, Roland Meyers; sisters, Catherine Thomas, Patricia Ann Malveaux, Mary Louella Myers, and Tricia Ann Levier; mother-in-law, Lucille Lomas; daughters-in law, Janet Roberts, and Tomeicka Sanders; godmother, Mary Lou Woods; a special friend, Jack Lomas; godchildren, Emma, Jessica, Rachel and Stacy; her lifelong pastor, Pastor Macol; eighteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren; best friends, Geraldine Davis and Jean Neva Jones, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Cinderella was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Lorena Levier and Alton Myers, Jr.; a brother, Alton Jr. Levier; two sons, Hayward Lee Mallet and Matthew James Mallet; one brother in law, two nieces and one nephew. Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Williams Funeral Home in Opelousas.
