For details see (Faith Gatherings): https://opensafely.la.gov/PublicLinks.aspx Mr. Curley Leday, Sr. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 17, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Plaisance, LA, for Mr. Curley Leday, Sr., 93, who entered eternal rest, Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Opelousas General Health System. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Father Taj V. Glodd will officiate the Mass of Christian burial. Mr. Leday is survived by four sons, Curley Leday, Jr., Connis Leday, Sr. (Norma), Gilbert Leday (Joyce) all of Plaisance, LA and Cleveland Leday (Beverlyn) of Prairie Ronde, LA; six daughters, Florence Tanner (Leonard, Sr.) of Opelousas, LA, Leona Young (James, Sr.) of Plaisance, LA, Veronica Quebedeaux of Opelousas, LA, Barbara Gallo of Plaisance, LA, Bernadine Freeman (Robert) of Prairie Ronde, LA and Angela Chenier (Joseph) of San Antonio, TX; a brother, Robert Leday of Houston, TX; four sisters, Vera Bella Leday of Washington, LA, Rita Songs of Houston, TX, Verlie Mae Wims and Lucy Mae Smith both of Baton Rouge, LA; thirty six grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Leday was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia Delores Richard Leday; his parents, Alcide Leday & Marcelina Tezeno Leday; stepmother, Orelia Jean Leday; children, Charles Leday, Horace Leday and Barbara Ann Leday; grandson, Michael Wayne Leday; son-in-law, Ray Quebedeaux, Sr.; siblings, Freddie Ledet, Fredrick Leday, Mary Jack Levy, Marlene Woods, Stelly Thierry, Inez Edwards Boutte, Ida Thomas and Theresa Jack. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to: Dr. LaTonya Kelly, Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Dr. Calvin White, OGH Wound Care Center and Dr. Ted Bourque, for care they provided to our beloved father.
