Mrs. Ethel Mae Kimble Opelousas, Louisiana A celebration of life, for a mother, an educator for over 70 years, a neighbor, and a friend will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Bellevue Street Baptist Church, 326 W. Bellevue St. Opelousas, LA, for Mrs. Ethel Mae Kimble, 94, who serenely departed, at her home, Thursday, September 13, 2012, surrounded by family and neighbors. Interment will be in Myrtle Grove Cemetery in Opelousas, LA. Rev. Willie Maynard, Jr. & Rev. Gerald Perkins will pay tributes to Mrs. Kimble and Rev. Joel Greene, Jr. will deliver the Eulogy. Mrs. Kimble leaves to carry her legacy, four daughters, Marjorie Mason Campbell (Archie) of Dallas, TX, Barbara Mason Brownlee (Charles), Beulah Marie Mason Renaud (Charles) and Phyllis Mason Fisher (Arthur) all of Opelousas, LA; her little buddy, Arthur, Jr.; her little doctor, Tempora; 11 grandchildren, Archie “A.D.” , Judith “Lynn”, Elaine “Tess”, Lorena “Rena”, Fern “The Baby”, Juan “Putut”, Chantelle “Tell”, Paul “P.J.”, Charlee “#9”, Mildon “#10” and Ronnie “Ron”; 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren. An awesome “Lady”, Ms. Frankie Hall Williams, a sitter, Mrs. Joyce Locks, her excellent breakfast cook, Mrs. Delores Oakley and her little friend, Tammy. Along with many students, neighbors, relatives, friends and two special nieces, Darlene & Mel, who will miss her deeply. Going heavenly home before Mrs. Kimble were her parents, Nathan & Eva Martin Kimble; a daughter, Carol Ambres; a sister, Beulah Kimble Hall; six brothers, Clarence, Nathan, Jr., Aaron, Andrew, Joshua and Issac. Visiting hours will be observed from 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Friday, September 21, 2012 at Williams Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA and from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Friday, September 21, 2012 at St. John Baptist Church, 529 Augustus St. in Opelousas, LA, only blocks from Mrs. Kimble’s house, the center of her neighborhood, where she has lived for 66 years. Visiting hours will resume on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Bellevue Street Baptist Church at 7:00 A.M.
