OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at First Benjamin Missionary Baptist Church in 4228 LA-357, Opelousas, LA for James Allen Aggison, Sr., 79, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at his residence surrounded by family and loved ones. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Park. Dr. Rev. Jimmie Aggison pastor of Rising Star Baptist Church, Wichita, KS will officiate the Celebration of Life and Rev. Albert Tezeno, pastor of First Benjamin Missionary Baptist Church will Co-Celebrate. James leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his legacy, children; James A. Aggison, Jr. of Lafayette, LA, Craig Aggison (Mary) of Port Barre, LA, Kenneth W. Aggison, Sr. of Eunice, LA, Paula Tezeno (Felton) of Opelousas, LA and Jacqueline Mose of Houston, TX; stepchildren, Melvin Jackson, Charles Henderson both of San Antonio, TX, Rodney Henderson of Houston, TX, Angela Aggison, Annette Austin of Wichita, KS and Corissa Williams (Woody); brothers, Lester Aggison of Opelousas, and Rev. Jimmie Aggison (Tressey), sisters, Rose M. Aggison and Evelena Aggison (McArthur) both of Opelousas, LA, sister-in-law, Victoria Aggison of Opelousas, LA Tamela Aggison also of Opelousas, LA, and one aunt, Francis Feast of Maringuoin, LA; (11) eleven grandchildren, (22) twenty-two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends. Mr. Aggison was preceded in death by his parents, Allen Aggison and Letha Lena Albert Aggison; wife, Margaret Aggison; brothers, Frank Aggison, Sr., Charles Aggison, George Aggison. Sr. and Raymond Aggison and Wilson Aggison, Sr. and a sister, Francis Monroe Aggison.
