John Kasey Thomas, IV A Celebration of Life honoring John Kasey Thomas, IV, affectionately known as “Tigga,” will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Emmanuel Church of God in Christ (1716 West Landry Street) in Opelousas, LA. At just 24 years old, Tigga’s life was one filled with energy, love, laughter and memories that will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made will never be forgotten. Tigga entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, in Oberlin, LA. Family and friends are invited to gather for quiet time and reflection beginning at 10:00 AM at the church prior to the celebration service. Following the celebration, Tigga will be laid to rest in Serenity Memorial Park. The celebration service will be officiated by Rev. Gerald Toussaint, Pastor of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. The Thomas family also wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to Bishop Alton Gatlin and the Emmanuel Church of God in Christ family for opening their hearts and church home with love, prayers, comfort and support during this difficult time. Tigga leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, John Thomas, III (Angela) and Angeline Jagneaux (Kevin Carriere); his beloved brothers, Ja’Marcus Lavergne, Devin Jagneaux (Le’Keitha) and Jace Thomas; his cherished sisters, Kacee Thomas and Aila Thomas. He is also survived by his paternal grandfather, John Thomas, Jr. (Lori); his paternal great-grandmother, Alice Toussaint Campbell; his special godchild, I’riyah; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were touched by his love, laughter and unforgettable spirit. Tigga was welcomed into eternal peace by his maternal grandparents, Linda McBride and Clarence Collins; his paternal grandmother, Shelia Campbell Richard; his beloved aunt, Sheena Thomas Comeaux; his paternal great-grandparents, Alex Campbell, Sr., John K. Thomas, Sr. and Lessie Mae Florence Thomas, all of whom preceded him in death.
