Laura Belle Morrison June 5, 1941 – April 26, 2012 Another beautiful rose has been plucked from our treasured flower garden. On Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 9:00 A.M. Mrs. Laura Belle Morrison was visited by the angel of death and she departed this life. Her passing brought sadness to the hearts of all who loved her. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA. Final resting place will be in Bellevue Memorial Park. Laura was born on June 5, 1941 in Opelousas, Louisiana to the late John and Mary Wilma Vallien. She leaves to mourn and still cherishing her memory, her loving husband of 48 years, Robert Louis Morrison; four lovely children, Latonia Denise Morrison-Frank, Robert Louis Morrison, II., Ernie Thaddeus Angel and Cathy Maria Guillory Bobb; two sons-in-law: Hilton Frank and Justin Bobb; two beautiful and very special grandchildren, Jon Francis Bobb and Olivia Juanita Bobb; three step-grandchildren, Kendrick Frank, Courtney Frank and Jametra Frank; two brothers, John Vallien and Andrew Vallien; two sisters, Theresa Muwwakkil and Audrey Noble; two brothers-in-law, Yusuf Muwwakkil and Charles Noble; two sisters-in-law, Theresa Vallien and Ruby Conway and a host of other relatives and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Verline Juanita Guillory and Mary Wilma Angel; six brothers-in-law, John Calvin Guillory, Joseph Russell Angel, Miles Dorsey, Jake Taylor, Joe Taylor and Howard Dorsey; seven sisters-in-law, Gloria Vallien, Doris Mae Houston, Lucille Walker, Earnestine Dorsey, Ethel Dorsey, Roberta Thomas, and Dorothy Holliman; two nieces, Gwendolyn Marie Angel and Moneta Andre’ Vallien-Mercadel; and two nephews, Joseph Russell Angel, Jr. and Blane Holliman. Laura Belle Morrison, a devout Christian, will always be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, her passion for children, her love of caring for the elderly and her compassion for others. Visiting hours will be observed from 9:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA.
