Mr. Leo Paul Auzenne

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 291 Thibodeaux Rd, (Lawtell) Opelousas, LA 70570 for Leo Paul Auzenne, 78, who entered eternal rest on Monday, August 27, 2018 in his residence surrounded by family and loved ones. Interment will take place in Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery. Pastor: Rev. Borgia Aubespin, SVD will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial. On December 15, 1939, Leo Paul Auzenne arrived to the joy of his parents, Dominque (“Tee-Man”) and Hilda Payne Auzenne. He was the fourth of eleven siblings. He had six brothers and four sisters. Mr. Leo Paul Auzenne succumbed to cancer after a two year battle on Monday, August 27, 2018 at his residence in Opelousas, LA. We will miss his vibrant smile, sense of humor, and cherish his kind and loving heart. He leaves to mourn, yet cherishing his memory, his wife of 54 years, Gloria Ann Mayfield Auzenne, of Opelousas, LA and their son Paul Anthony Auzenne (Lana) of Saskatchewan, Canada and daughter Barbara Richard of Houston, TX, three brothers, Alvin Auzenne of New Iberia, LA, Antoine “Joe” Auzenne and Joseph “Author” Auzenne, both of Leonville, LA; two sisters, Theresa White of Georgia and Gloria Williams; four grandchildren, Latashia Swinton (Jason), Lateidra Auzenne (Corey), Benedict “Benny” Anthony Auzenne (Nicole) and Cydney Auzenne (Hunter); three great grandchildren, Aniyah Swinton, Raymond Swinton, Jr. and his partner in crime the youngest Sa’Mryie Robertson; a god-daughter, Savannah Auzenne Strauss, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dominique Everson “Tee-Man” and Hilda Payne Auzenne, three brothers, Pete Auzenne, Frankie Lee Auzenne, and Andrew Auzenne and two sisters, Celeste Charles and Marilyn Auzenne Guidry. The family request visiting hours be observed on Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 9:00 A.M. to 12:45 P.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lawtell, LA.
