Mrs. Linda Faye Auzenne With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the remarkable life of Mrs. Linda Faye Auzenne, who set forth on her final journey on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the age of, 62. On January 12, 1980, Linda joyfully married Joseph Auzenne, sharing 45 wonderful years together—a true highlight of her life. Together, they raised two children, Joseph Auzenne Jr. and Eboney Auzenne-Nelson, and lovingly welcomed a grandson, Aiden Reynolds Auzenne, into their family. Linda’s adventurous spirit took her around the world alongside her husband during his service in the Air Force. Following her retirement from the federal government, she embraced her golden years with the same passion, traveling whenever possible and savoring every experience life had to offer. Known for her vibrant style, Linda delighted in wearing flashy clothes and jewelry, and she never shied away from sharing her spirited, fiery wit. She cherished daily conversations with her siblings and treasured countless hours spent with her beloved aunt, Fannie Auzenne, who she considered a mother. Her warmth and openness meant she could connect with anyone she met, making lasting impressions on all who knew her. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects between 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Williams Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA, followed by a funeral service to celebrate her life at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville, LA at 11:00 AM. Following the Funeral Mass, Linda will be laid to rest in the church cemetery. Linda is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Mr. Joseph Auzenne, Sr. of Opelousas, LA; her son, Joseph Auzenne, Jr. of Opelousas, LA; and her daughter, Eboney Nelson (Daniel) of Anaheim, CA. She also leaves behind her cherished sisters, Celinda Auzenne (John) of Deridder, LA, and Melinda Deville (Chad) of Lake Charles, LA; her three beloved grandchildren, Aiden Reynolds Auzenne, Evelyn Auzenne, and Aurelius Auzenne; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clanney Edwards, Sr. and Leanna Edwards; three brothers, Willis Edwards, Clanney Edwards, Jr. and Lindsey Edwards; one sister, Mahilda Edwards; father and mother-in-law, Raoul Auzenne, Sr. and Elta Auzenne; one brother-in-law, Raoul Auzenne, Jr., who now welcome her with open arms in heaven. Linda’s presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit, joy, and love of life will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Mary Mason, a cherished friend and sister, for her devoted care, kindness, and unwavering support, and to the staff of St. Joseph Carpenter House Hospice Center for their exceptional compassion and gentle care during her final days.
