OPELOUSAS- Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Louella T. Forbes, 81, who entered eternal rest on Friday, November 7, 2014 at her residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas. Father Jaison Mangalath, SVD will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial. Louella is survived by her loving companion, Herchal Johnson of Opelousas, LA; six sons, Francis Forbes (Michelle), Alvin Forbes (Denise), Howard Tyler (Melinda), John Tyler all of Opelousas, LA; Perry Tyler (Marie) of Baton Rouge, LA and Ronald Tyler (Julie) of Oklahoma; four daughters, Shirley Oakley (Leroy), Louanna Sam (Matthew), Anna Lamb, and Betty Joseph all of Opelousas, LA; two sisters, Alverta Myles (Alfred) of Texas City, TX and Mary Bourgeois of Morgan City, LA; seven brothers-in-law, Eddie Martin, Sr. and Douglas Latigue (Monica) both of Opelousas, LA; James Forbes (Patrice) of Carencro, LA, Leroy Forbes and Lawrence Forbes, Sam Johnson (Kay), and Freeman Johnson all of Houston, TX; three sisters-in-law, Barbara Andrus of Opelousas, LA, Marie Forbes and Betty Forbes both of Houston, TX; 30 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren; one special nephew who stuck by her side, Charles Matt of Opelousas, LA; two great nieces, Charlot Mott and Tiffany Mott both of Opelousas, LA and a step granddaughter, Kayla Pitre of Opelousas, LA; eight godchildren, Sherry Wheatfall, Gary Bourgeois, Carmen Mott, Shaun Oakley, Clarence Mott, Beverly Tyler, Patricia Tyler, and Anna Marie Tyler; three former daughters-in-law, Angela Tyler, Maxine Tyler, and Chanel Richard; two sons-in-law, Donald Lamb and Rodney Palmer and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Louella was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Xavier Forbes; her parents, Pierre and Hilda Tyler; three sons, Michael Forbes, Albert Forbes, and Terry Tyler; one daughter, Mary Palmer; three brothers, Peter Tyler, Jesse Tyler, and Paul Tyler; five sisters, Evelina Jones, Estella Matt, Fannie Stevenson, Edna George, and Verley Richard; father-in-law, Gilbert Forbes and mother-in-law, Edna Colomb Forbes; two sons-in-law, George Joseph and Danny Edwards; and a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Babineaux. Visiting hours will be observed from 7:00 AM until 10:30 PM Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Williams Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 AM.
