In Loving Memory of Mrs. Mary Jason November 21, 1948 – July 2, 2026 Mrs. Mary Jason peacefully departed this life on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on November 21, 1948, she lived a life filled with love, faith, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose gentle spirit and caring heart touched the lives of many. With faith in the promise of eternal life, a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating her beautiful life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lawtell, Louisiana. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance during visitation from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM at Williams Funeral Home prior to the funeral Mass. Following the celebration of her life, she will be laid to rest in Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery. Father Jude Thierry will be the celebrant of the Mass, offering prayers and words of comfort as family and friends come together to honor her life, cherish her memory, and commend her soul to God's eternal care. Mrs. Jason is survived by her loving children: her daughter, Paula Washington (Curtis) of Lafayette, Louisiana; and her three sons, Andrew Jason, Jr. (Connie) of Swords, Louisiana, Derrick Jason (Shawan) of Lawtell, Louisiana, and Brian Jason (Michelle) of Lawtell, Louisiana. She also leaves to cherish her memory six beloved grandchildren: Oran Washington III (Kelli), Andrew Jason III (Taylar), Damonte' Jason (Payton), Alexia Jason (Tahage), Brianna Washington, and Danté Jason; and five treasured great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Maleah, Elijah, Kaylum, and Zaydun. Mrs. Jason is also survived by her devoted siblings: four brothers, Clayton Bias of Lawtell, Louisiana, Ronald Bias (Diana) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Lawrence Bias (Manella) of Lawtell, Louisiana, and Randy Bias of Opelousas, Louisiana; and three sisters, Barbara Jason of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Lou A. Babineaux of Lafayette, Louisiana, and Sandy Roan of Carencro, Louisiana. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends who will cherish her memory forever. Mrs. Jason was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew Jason, Sr.; her parents, Mary Lugenia Bias and Leonard Bias, Sr.; her brothers, J. Norris Bias, Claude P. Bias, and Leonard Bias, Jr.; and her sisters, Rosa Lee Dargin, Rosa Mae Victorian, Gloria Creatien, and Joyce Marie Duresseau. Though she has departed from this earthly life, the love she shared, the wisdom she imparted, and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her legacy will continue through the family she loved so deeply, and she will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
