Mary Jessica Robertson “Jessie” was born on January 5,1966 to her parents Nelson Robertson and Mary Ann Robertson. She was very hardworking and always there when someone needed her. She could never tell anyone no, no matter how tired she could be. She worked has a patient care attendant for 11 years. She traveled all over the area, Geuydan, St. Martinville, Eunice, Ville Platte, Opelousas, Lafayette, etc., caring for people. Mary leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her legacy, special friend, Matthew Freeman; father, Nelson Robertson of Opelousas, LA; one daughter, Kia Obadan of Opelousas, LA; two sons, Arthur and Akeem Guillory both of Opelousas, LA; three grandchildren, Jayla, Kyinn, and Kyvon; two sisters, Melissa Richard (Christopher) of Opelousas, LA and Chermaine Reed of Galveston, TX; two brothers, David Robertson and Justin Lewis of Crowley, LA; four aunts, Lillie Mae King, Mary Francis Lazard, Rose Landry (Murphy) all of Opelousas, LA and Julia Lazard of Galveston, TX; four uncles, John “LB” Robertson (Mary), Alvin Robertson (Florence), Joseph “Red” Robertson (Alice) all of Opelousas, LA and James “Bobby” Robertson (D’Juana) of Houston, TX; two best friends since childhood, Pamela Smith and Darlene Owens both of Opelousas, LA; three cousins who were like sisters, Elizabeth Robertson, Kimberly Robertson both of Opelousas, LA and Mable Edwards of Houston, TX, Jermaine Reed, cousin who was like a brother, of Opelousas, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Mary is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Robertson; a brother, James Robertson; a daughter, Diamonesha Guillory; maternal grandparents, Pamela and Elmer Lazard; paternal grandparents, Odelia and Oliver Robertson; Godmothers, LouBertha Robertson and Gloria Lazard; Godfathers, Andrew Robertson and Lawrence Stelly, and a host of aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA. Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM at Williams Funeral Home on Saturday, February 20, 2021. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery.
