Mr. Nacy Richard, Jr. LEBEAU- Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lebeau, LA for Mr. Nacy Richard, Jr., 58, who entered eternal rest on Friday, March 20, 2015 at his residence in Melville, LA Interment will be held in the church cemetery. Fr John O'Hallaran, SSJ will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial. Through the curtains of heaven, God looked upon Earth for a man of strength, fortitude and faith to join his eternal kingdom. On March 20, 2015, His gaze fell upon on Nacy Richard Jr. and He took him to glory to rest in paradise. Known to family and friends as “June,” he was born on January 13, 1957 in Lafayette, LA to the late Mildred Tezeno Richard and Nacy Richard, Sr. In this world, he was a man of hard work and accustomed to the philosophy of a good education and successful entrepreneurship. He bestowed upon his children the importance of education and following the light of the Lord. With a spirit of sacrifice, he took pride as a provider for his family and devoted his love to them until his last breath. His mother, Mildred, was his rock and a constant guide in his life. The only son between two girls, June proudly wore the title of brother to his sisters, Dianne and Joyce. Blessed with four children, Shanese, Shellie, Shane and Paul; his role as father would expand to the grandfather of eight beautiful grandchildren. Cherishing June’s precious and unforgettable memories are his daughters Shanese Richard Alexander (Clement) and Shellie Richard Thomas (Herachio), both of Dallas, TX; two sons, Shane J.W. Richard (Iesha) of Opelousas, LA and Paul Pickens (Letecia) of Carencro, LA; a sister, Joyce Richard Johnson of Oceanside, CA; half-brothers, Preston Dabney (Mary) and Raymond Carey (Mary) both of Houston, TX, Dennis Carey of Melville, LA and Benny Carey of Broussard, LA; special companion, Adrianne Camille Shaw of Melville, LA; eight grandchildren: Kaeden, Kyle and Kinsley Alexander; Kaylee, Mia and Zoey Richard; Matthew Babino and Jillian Thomas; and a special aunt, Marjorie Tezeno Guillory of Melville, LA. Also cherishing his memories are a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nacy Richard, Sr. and Mildred Tezeno Richard; sister, Dianne Richard Alpough and half-sister Doris Carey; paternal grandparents, Otis and Hattie Richard and maternal grandparents, Clemon and Camelia Tezeno. The family is requesting that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lebeau, LA.
