Sandra Kay White Sam September 6, 1952 – August 6, 2016 OPELOUSAS-Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. John Baptist Church for Mrs. Sandra Kay White Sam, 63, who entered eternal life on Sunday, August 6, 2016 at Garden Park Medical Center in Gulfport, MS. Interment will take place in Serenity Memorial Park. Rev. Ronald Freeman, Pastor of St. John Baptist Church will officiate the Celebration of Life. Sandra leaves to cherish her memory sons, Christopher Sam (Tashimia) of Opelousas, LA, Derek Williams (Miesha) of Houston, TX , Cedric Rubin of Lafayette, LA; daughters, Charita Benoit (Nelson) of Lafayette, LA, Kelli Sam of Gulfport, MS, Shaquana Williams of Houston, TX and Bethella Phillips (Darnell) of Gulfport, MS; brothers, Jackie Samuel (Jacqueline) and Albert Hope both of Beaumont, TX, Geary Hope (Yokishia) of Orange, TX; sisters, Hazel Hope, Janet Williams and Cynthia Semien all of Beaumont, TX and Margaret Adams (Calvin) of Orange, TX; 43 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews other relatives and special friends. Mrs. Sam was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Sam; a daughter, Shannon White Gilder; twin sons, Willie and Wilbert Valliere; her parents, Harold and Etta Hope, Sr. and a brother, Harold Hope, Jr. The family request visiting hours be observed on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 8 A.
