Ms. Georgiana Marie Gallow Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Emma Zion Baptist Church in Washington, LA for Georgiana Marie “Papoose” Gallow who entered eternal rest on Friday, December 3, 2021. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington, LA. Dr. Shresia Kenney & Rev. Joseph Jones will officiate the Celebration of Life. Georgiana Marie Gallow was born December 22, 1968, to Catherine (Lee) Tezeno and the late Lenton (Faye) Gallow Sr. She departed this life on Friday, December 3, 2021, at her home in Houston, Texas. At a young age, she moved to Louisiana with her late grandmother Georgiana Fontenot and was raised in the Catholic Church. After obtaining her cosmetology license from Franklin Beauty school, she later opened her own hair salon, “Shear Illusions.” From childhood to an adult, Georgiana enjoyed gathering family and friends together for parties at her home. She also loved listening to music, Bingo, and sports. She will be remembered for her self-expression through her love of fashion and unforgettable dance moves. Georgiana was the best mother to her children, kept a smile on her face, and gave love to all that crossed her path until the end of time. Mourning her departure, but left with cherished memories is her mother, Catherine Tezeno; partner, Lawrence Head; children, Quarmakiea (Elias) Robinson-Hlaihel Ontario Gallow; extended children, Sasha Gallow, Dakim Mitchell, Faizon Eaglend, Terranae Siverand, Semaj Young; grandchildren, Alana Hlaihel and Zoey Hlaihel; sisters, Kesia Tezeno , Wanda (Noel) Dixon, Stephney (Craig) Fontenot, Kendra Williams, Rhonda Thomas; brothers Lenton Gallow, Jr. and Ricky Cooper; aunts, Gladys (John) Bryant, Dell Fontenot, Bernadette (Ed) Rubin, Linda (Mickey) Osagie; uncles, Howard Lee (Pamela) Gallow, Jimmy Roy (Mary Ann) Gallow, Charles (Iresia) Fontenot, Clarence (Ruby) Fontenot Jr.; God Parents. Bernadette (Ed) Rubin, Emma Joseph and a host of relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Lenton Gallow Sr.; grandfather, Melvin Gallow Sr.; grandmother, Iffie Gallow; uncle, Melvin Gallow Jr.; uncle, Joseph Gallow Sr.; aunt, Sylvia Ann Young; aunt, Roynell Gallow Sr.; grandmother, Georgiana Fontenot and grandfather, Clarence Fontenot Sr. The family requests visiting hours be observed on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 8:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at Williams Funeral Home of Opelousas, LA, 817 E.
