Mr. James Junius Sam “Timon” Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA, for Mr. James “Timon” Junius Sam, 76, who entered eternal rest, Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home of Opelousas. Mr. Sam is survived by his daughter, Comaneci Sam of Eunice, LA; his former wife, Kathi Gauthier of Opelousas, LA; six brothers, Merrick Sam of Houston, TX, Leroy Sam (Brenda Jean) of Houston, TX, Marrion Sam (Donna Mae) of Port Barre, LA, Donald Sam (Rose), Ronald Sam and Carl Sam (Cheryl) all of Opelousas, LA; three sisters, Barbara Hunt of Houston, TX, Florene Jones (Enoch) of Houston, TX and Veronica Sam of Opelousas, LA; two grandchildren, MiRon Sam and Dylan Sam both of Opelousas, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Antoine Sam & Elnora Myers Sam; three brothers, Lee Albert Sam, Sr., Malcolm Sam, Sr. and Antoine Sam, Jr.; four sisters, Mary Jane Parish, Gloria Parish, Margaret Sam and Donna Mae Sam. Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 AM to 10:45 AM Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Williams Funeral Home.
