Funeral services will be held privately for Mr. Joseph Allen Bellard, Sr., who entered eternal rest, Tuesday, May 26, 2020, surrounded by his family. Interment will be in Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery in Lawtell, LA. Rev. Borgia Aubespin, SVD will officiate at the Christian burial. Mr. Bellard was born on November 1, 1939 to Horace and Mary Bellard. Joseph’s life was a life of service to his family and to anyone in need. He was the oldest of eight siblings and was adored by each of them. Mr. Bellard is survived by his wife, Maxine Bellard of Lawtell, LA; a son, Joseph Bellard, Jr. (Natasha) of Lafayette, LA; two daughters, Debra Barnaba of Carencro, LA and Delores Bellard – Bennett (Wayne) of Philadelphia, PA; a brother, Francis Bellard of Church Point, LA; four sisters, Barbara Woods (Julian) of Lake Charles, LA; Tammy Bellard of Lake Charles, LA; Joyce Bellard of Church Point, LA; Mary Ann Charlot of Church Point, LA; three grandchildren, Katelyn, Madison and Allyson and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Bellard was preceded in death by his beloved parents Mary and Horace Bellard; one sister: Verbie Minix; one brother: James Bellard.
