Mr. Joseph Glenn Shakesnider Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, November 23, 2020 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA, for Mr. Joseph Glenn Shakesnider, 61, who entered eternal rest, Friday, November 13, 2020 in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Cemetery in Grand Coteau, LA. Mr. Shakesnider is survived by his Godmother, Hilda Roberts Savoy (Joseph); son, Joseph Glenn Shakesnider, Jr.; a daughter, Jamela Keosha Nichols; a God daughter, Ashley Lynn Guillory; two brothers, Larry James Shakesnider and Joseph Larry Colomb; a sister, Connie Lynn Shakesnider; four grandchildren, Kentravion George, Terrion Cary, Jayven Cary and Keriona Nichols and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Shakesnider was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Shakesnider & Wilda Roberts Shakesnider; two brothers, John Craig Shakesnider and Re’nee Shakesnider; a nephew, Aaron Joshua Tyreak Hicks; maternal grandparents, Lucien Roberts & Edna Singleton Roberts; paternal grandparents, Joseph Aladin Shakesnider & Mary Richard Shakesnider and his Godfather, Calvin Colomb. Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM Monday, November 23, 2020 at Williams Funeral Home.
