Mr. Joshua Batiste

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lawtell, LA for Joshua Batiste who entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Father Lambert Lien will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial. Joshua Batiste was born on October 24, 1983 to Glenda Batiste and Donald Malbrough. He attended UL and studied Special Education. He was dedicated to The Muscular Dystrophy Association and Camp Starlite where he was known for touching many lives and loving children unconditionally. He was a man of impeccable character with a gentle soul. Josh bought unwavering devotion and unending smiles to kids’ faces everywhere he went. Despite his trials and tribulations, he was always helping others. Mourning his departure, but left with cherished memories are his parents, Glenda Batiste Harris of Lafayette, La and Donald Malbrough of Plaisance, La; step-dad, Arthur Lee Harris of Opelousas, La; three brothers, Bradley Batiste of Sunset, La; Paul Batiste of Lawtell, La and Jacoby Malbrough of Breaux Bridge, La; three sisters, Ratasha “Ne-Ne” Batiste of Lafayette, La, Paula Rubin of Lawtell, La and Janaia Malbrough of Lafayette, La; paternal grandmother, Velma Malbrough of Plaisance, La; godmother, Clara Miller of Lawtell, La and a host of family and friends. He is preceded in death by his sister Katricia Batiste, maternal grandparents: Rose and Ivory Batiste Sr., three uncles: Ivory Batiste Jr., Kevin James Batiste, and Brian Keith Malbrough.
