Mr. Mel Sylvester, Jr. Mr. Sylvester entered eternal rest, Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Opelousas General Health System at the age of, 67. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Park. Mr. Sylvester is survived by three sons, Jeremy Tyler, Johnathan Weston and Melle Weston; three daughters, Coretta Savoie – Stevens, Krystal Weston and Syrieta Hall; three brothers, Calvin Sylvester, Larry Sylvester and Lou Sylvester; two sisters, Sylvia Sylvester and Carleen Jones; and a host of extended family members and friends. Mr. Sylvester was preceded in death by his daughter, Krystie Weston; parents, Mel Sylvester, Sr. and Eula Chenier Sylvester; a brother, Willie Sylvester and his grandparents, Cora Chenier Thompson and Maurice Chenier.
