Mrs. Rose Lee Senegal

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Williams Funeral Home, 817 E. South Street, Opelousas, LA for Rose Lee Senegal. Interment will be in Mt. Triumph Baptist Church Cemetery. Rose Lee Senegal, 81, transitioned on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, peacefully at home in Houston, TX. She was the middle child born to Ernest Gloston and Eleanor Vallien. She was a faithful Baptist instilling her faith into her family. She had five children and loved them dearly. She was a hard worker, retiring after working many years of taking care of the elderly and disabled, as a home care worker. She was humorous, loved shopping, travelling, lived by the beat of her own drum and didn’t take any mess. She is survived by her children Annette Guidry (Chris), Jimmy Senegal (Shirley), and Sherry Ridyolph (Terry). Her eleven grandchildren, Yo' Tarsha Brown (Tarvaras), Shameka Fauria (Jonathan), Deontae Swafford, Michael Senegal (Ashley), Nelson Simmons, Lakeisha Lafleur (Kevin), Roselee Senegal, Alice Matthews, Brittany Senegal, Joshua Ridyolph and Caleb Wesley. Her fifteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other beloved family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter A. Senegal, longtime partner John H. Thomas, sons Michael W. Senegal and John Russell Senegal, sister Beatrice Charles and brother Herman Gloston. And though our beloved matriarch is no longer with us she lived an amazing life and left a beautiful legacy behind. The family requests visiting hours be observed on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 8:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. at Williams Funeral Home, 817 E. South Street, Opelousas, LA, 337-942-2037.
