Mrs. Grace Marie Eaglin

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church, 217 Highway 10, for Grace Eaglin, 66. Interment will be in Chimneyville Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jessie J. Doulet, Pastor of Chimneyville Missionary Baptist Church will officiate the Celebration of Life. Grace Eaglin was born September 11,1956 to the Parents of Lloyd and Rosa Siverand Johnson Sr. The 16th of 19 siblings. Grace entered eternal rest on Friday, September 23, 2022, in a head on collision while driving on interstate I-49, by a wrong way driver minutes from her home. She gave her life to God at an early age and was baptized by Rev. Atkins Leday Sr. at Chimneyville Missionary Baptist Church. She attended Whiteville Elementary, and Dunbar Elementary. She graduated from Washington High School in 1975 and continued her education at Delta School of Business. Grace worked several jobs until she found her calling and purpose as a caregiver. She was a caretaker to all who had a need. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 37 years George T. Eaglin Sr. of Opelousas. Sons, George T. Eaglin Jr. of Opelousas, Ahmad and Bethany Eaglin Sr. of Carencro. One daughter, LaRonda Eaglin of Baton Rouge and One grandchild, Ahmad Anthony Eaglin, Jr. Four Brothers, Lloyd Johnson Jr. (Ora), Roy Joseph Johnson (Shawndra), Alex Johnson (Gloria) all of Houston, and Arthur Johnson, Sr. (Mary) of Opelousas. Six sisters, Ellouise Tisino and Denise Davis Lathan of Houston. Lela J. Brown of Missouri City, TX, Marilyn Johnson of Oklahoma City, OK, Barbara J. Lastrapes (Davis, Sr.), and Betty J. Deville of Opelousas. Four godchildren, her church family from Chimneyville Missionary Baptist Church, and a host of in-laws, cousins, nieces', nephews, friends and acquaintances. She is rejoicing in heaven with her parents, Lloyd and Rosa Johnson Sr; her siblings, Louis Johnson; Isaac Johnson Sr.; Beatrice J. Allen. The family requests visiting hours be observed on Friday, September 30. 2022 from 8:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church, 217 Highway 10.
