Mrs. Louella Umezulike

Mrs. Louella “Luttie” Umezulike It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Louella Umezulike on October 15, 2025, at the age of 63. She was dearly loved and will be remembered with affection. Louella will be lovingly remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering generosity. She touched many lives through her caring spirit and compassionate heart. Her presence brought joy to family and friends alike, and her memory will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know her. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Williams Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA, with visitation beginning at 8:00 AM. Burial will follow at Mohorn Baptist Church Cemetery in Plaisance, LA. The service will be officiated by Pastor Joshua Carrier. Louella is lovingly survived by her devoted husband of 39 years, Ifeanyi “Iffy” Umezulike of Carencro, LA; her children, Jessica Arthurlee of Duson, LA, Cammy Umezulike and Sarah Umezulike both of Carencro, LA; her cherished grandchildren, Mckenzie Levier, Jordan Arthurlee, Brycson Arthurlee, and Saylor Umezulike. She also leaves behind five brothers, Joseph Guillory, Jr. (Dorothy) of Calera, AZ, Larry Edwards (Rozena) of Eunice, LA, Frank Edwards (Kenshasha) of Lafayette, LA, Matthew Artholee (Rachael) of Opelousas, LA, and Karl Arthurlee (Jacqueline) of Opelousas, LA; four sisters, Bonnie Addison of Saginaw, MI, Betty Augustine (Joseph) of Opelousas, LA, Lisa Arthurlee of Kansas City, MO, and Daphney Morgan (George) of Opelousas, LA; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and faith that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Louella was preceded in death by her cherished parents, John and Rosalee Arthurlee, and her dear siblings, John Edwards and Sharon Layssard, maternal and paternal grandparents, whose memories she treasured throughout her life.
