Madeline Colomb November 26, 1932– March 12, 2014 LAWTELL- Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lawtell, LA, for Mrs. Madeline Colomb, 81, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at her residence in Lafayette. Interment will be in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Lawtell, LA. Rev. Justin Arockiasamy, S.V.D will officiate at the Mass of Christian burial. Mrs. Colomb is survived by five sons, Johnathan Brown (Brenda) of Lafayette, LA, Martin Brown (Grace), and Clifton Colomb (Debra) of Opelousas, LA, Ray Brown of Carencro, LA, and Gerald Colomb (Darla) of Houston, TX; four daughters, Barbara Colon and JoAnn Jordan (Shelton) of Opelousas, LA, Georgia Charles of Houston, TX, and Elaine Colomb (Frank) of Humble, TX; two daughters-in-law, LouBertha Colomb of Crowley, LA and Lorraine Brown of Lake Charles, LA; two brothers, Joseph T. Gallen, Jr. (Marjorie) of Houston, TX and Daryl Gallien (Bertha) of Lake Charles, LA; four sisters, Erina Sutton and Nettye Laws (Herbert) of Houston, TX, Mary Ann Taylor, of San Francisco, CA, Gloria Evans (John) of Ferriday, LA; a brother-in-law, Ernest Jones; sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Colomb was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph Elton Brown, Sr. and Walter Colomb, Sr.; her parents, Sidney and Emily Gallien, Sr., her grandparents, Abel Jolivette and Melinda Semien; her great-grandparents, Clemonce and Jacque Gallien; four sons, Joseph Elton, Jr., Joseph Kenneth, and Wayne Edward Brown, and Walter Colomb, Jr.; a grandson, Edward Colomb; three brothers, Herbert, Orrell and Sidney Gallien, Jr.; a twin sister, Mattie Jones; and two brothers-in-law, John Taylor and Benjamin Sutton, Jr. Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 A.M. until 11:30 A.M., Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Williams Funeral Home, Inc. of Opelousas.
