Obituary for Mrs. Marquita LaKendra LeBlanc With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life that touched so many, we celebrate the life and cherished memory of Mrs. Marquita LaKendra LeBlanc. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Opelousas, Louisiana, honoring the life and legacy of Mrs. LeBlanc, who peacefully entered eternal rest on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center at the age of 35. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and support during visitation on Saturday from 8:00 AM until 10:45 AM at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, 621 Narrow Street, Opelousas, Louisiana. The Celebration of Life will immediately follow. Rev. Donald Reed will officiate the service. Mrs. LeBlanc will be laid to rest in Serenity Memorial Park. Marquita’s life was a beautiful reflection of love, devotion, and resilience. She found her greatest joy in her family and will forever be remembered for the love she so generously shared with those blessed to know her. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her devoted husband, Cedric LeBlanc of Opelousas, Louisiana; her beloved daughter, Cedrielle LeBlanc and son Ja'Kaden Simmons of Opelousas; her loving sisters, Kendalin Castille, Kandice Castille, Kentrell Taylor, Veronica Taylor, Stacy Lee, and Detra Trahan, all of Opelousas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will continue to honor her legacy through the memories they shared. She was welcomed into eternal rest by her parents, Kenneth Castille and Marlene Taylor; her beloved son, Coehn Savoy; her brother, Kenric Castille; her sister, Clarekeisha Jackson; her nieces, Ken’Desa Castille and Hayven Cornelius; her maternal grandparents, Fredrick Taylor, Jr. and Marguerite Taylor; her paternal grandparents, Arthur and Savannah Castille; her godfather, Ben Mask; her uncles, Joseph, Felix, and Martin Taylor, Gordon Ray Castille, and Ronald Castille; and her aunt, Nettie Castille. The LeBlanc family extends heartfelt appreciation for the many acts of kindness, prayers, and expressions of love shown during this difficult time.
