Mr. Robert Anthony Lewis Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA, for Mr. Robert Anthony Lewis, 54, who entered eternal rest, Monday, March 13, 2023 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park. Rev. Justin Arockiasamy, S.V.D. will officiate at the Mass of Christian burial. He is survived by four sons, Ross Jayson Lewis, Jaylon Jakell Blackwell, Ryan Anthony Lewis, and his birthday twin, Ja’Marii Joseph (Buddy) Jackson; two daughters, Brooklynn Lynette Rose Garcia and Journee Elizabeth Jackson; the love of his life and soulmate, Pastor Verronda Flanagan; four sisters, Liler L. Florence of Opelousas, LA, Bernadine A.G. Lewis of Milwaukee, WI, Sheila M. Lewis of Phoenix, AZ and Della L. Manuel (Martin Wayne) of Opelousas, LA; six brothers, the oldest and his best friend, Bernard J. Lewis, Jr. (Mary), Kyle McLendon, Martin McLendon (Charlette), Anthony “T-Joe” Savoy (Michelle), Dwight Lemons (Renee), and Vernon Lemons all of Opelousas, LA; one aunt, Clementine A. Pickens of Opelousas, LA; one uncle, Nathan Auzenne of Los Angeles, CA; his Godchildren, Donavon J. Lewis, Madison Jones, Essence Savoy and Kyiah Garcia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Awaiting his arrival at the gates of Heaven with open arms and a loving smile were his parents, Bernard J. Lewis Sr. and His Queen mother, Mrs. Victoria Auzenne Lewis and his sister, Vickie Lester Lewis. He is also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mederick and Edmonia Charles Auzenne and paternal grandparents, Alcide and Martha Broussard Lewis; his loving Godparents, Enez Auzenne Cretien and Raoul Auzenne, Sr.; his niece, Michelle Lewis; brother-in-law, Lucius Florence and his childhood best friend, SSGT Craig Davis. Visiting hours will be observed from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, March 24, 2023 at Williams Funeral Home. Visiting hours will resume on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Williams Funeral Home from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
