OPELOUSAS – With humble hearts and steadfast faith in God, the family announces the homegoing celebration for Ms. Shannon Denise Loraine Isaac, age 53. Services honoring her life will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church, where loved ones will gather to praise God for a life well lived. Shannon peacefully answered the Lord’s call on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by love and under the gentle care of Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care. A Christian burial will follow in Greater St. James Memorial Garden. The Celebration of Life Service will be officiated by Pastor Rev. Chris Ardoin, as family, friends, and the church family unite in worship, remembrance, and thanksgiving for God’s grace throughout Shannon’s earthly journey. Shannon leaves behind a legacy of love to be cherished by the father of her children and longtime friend, Eric Hunt, Sr.; her devoted children, Eric Hunt, Jr. of Opelousas, LA, Shantashia Isaac of Church Point, LA, and Aereyon Hunt of Opelousas, LA; her beloved brother, Tommy Gallow, Sr. (Kathina) of Opelousas, LA; her dear sisters, Miranda Batiste (Donovan) of Opelousas, LA, and Tijuane Gallow of Baton Rouge, LA; her four precious grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, church family, and faithful friends who will forever treasure her memory. She was lovingly preceded in death by her parents, Ronald Isaac and Gloria Thomas, and her cherished daughter, Erica Hunt, whom she now rejoins in eternal peace, resting safely in the arms of the Lord. Viewing and visitation will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church, allowing family and friends time to pay final respects and offer prayers of comfort and strength.
