Mr. Wesley Comeaux Sr.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. -John 14:13 Wesley Paul Comeaux, Sr. was born on October 13, 1942, to the late Felix Comeaux, Sr. and Mary Mae Guidry Comeaux in Opelousas, LA. Wesley accepted Christ at an early age being christened and baptized into the Catholic faith. He was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, Louisiana until his death. Wesley was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life Cecilia Roberts and to this marriage, they were blessed with 3 beautiful children, Wesley, Jr., Mallory, and Germaine. Wesley and Cecilia remained married for over 50 plus years, they were, Inseparable. Having an abundance more of love to share, they reared two granddaughters as their own Keiandra and Kyana. Wesley was a family man. He enjoyed having his family together for gatherings and reunions. Wesley looked forward to seeing his family and dancing zydeco with them. He especially enjoyed his grandkids, two of which he raised as his own. When he wasn't working, you could find him waiting to get his grandsons off the school bus, and oh... how they really enjoyed the way he made them laugh. Wesley was a man of many talents; he was always smiling and happy no matter what the task was. March 9, 2021, the angels of the Lord escorted our beloved brother to his eternal resting place. Mourning his departure but treasuring his memories, is his wife of 50 plus years, Cecilia Roberts Comeaux; three sons, Wesley Comeaux, Jr.(LaSalle), Germaine Comeaux and Mallory Comeaux; two granddaughters he reared as his own, Keiandra Comeaux and Kyana Comeaux; five sisters, Ella Pinkney, Beulah Comeaux, Mary Ada Thomas, Regina Kinnerson (Ray) and Alice Comeaux-Cretien (Lawrence); five brothers, Rogers Comeaux (Bobby), Curley Comeaux (Ethel Mae), Wilbert Comeaux (Mary), Alvin Comeaux and Felix Comeaux, Jr.; three grandchildren, Vallory, Brycen and Brennan; one great grandson, Kayman Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Wesley Paul Comeaux, Sr. is preceded in death by his parents, Felix Comeaux, Sr. and Mary Mae Guidry Comeaux; four brothers, Leslie, Joseph, Wilton, and John Creighton Comeaux; and one sister, Mary Ida Thomas. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA. Viewing will begin at 7:00 AM to 9:45 AM at Williams Funeral Home. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Park.
